POLITICAL CULTURE AND NARRATIVE IN LATIN AMERICA
The Program of Graduate Studies in History and the Department of History, State University of Maringa present the VII INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF HISTORY, the GEOHISTORIA OF REGIONAL ENCUENTRO XXXV and the twentieth HISTORY WEEK.
The purpose of these events is to integrate historians, teachers, graduate students and undergraduate from different countries, promoting activities and discussions about the current state of the art historiography.
The theme Politics, Cultures and Narratives in Latin America, includes two lines of research: Policies, thought from the interest in the connections between social history and political history, and on issues such as parties, ideologies and their connection and Cultures and narratives with the aim of establishing dialogue between history and culture, through the narratives that permeate, understood as social practices that are product / production of social reality.
In this VII Congress we will host for the first time in Brazil, the XXXV Encuentro of Geohistória Regional. The "Encuentro de Regional Geohistória" first occurred in 1980 in the city of Resistencia, Chaco province / Argentina, driven by the "Instituto de Investigaciones geohistory", linked to the Universidad Nacional del Nordeste (UNNE). Interest the outcome of researchers from the region meet up and communicate their work, the Regional Encuentro Geohistória research results not only historical and geographical regional are presented, but also in the fields of linguistics, philosophy, art history, demography, anthropology and archeology. The "regional" present on the event title, is a broad one, covering the northeastern Argentina, Paraguay, Bolivia and southern Brazil, as well as all the River Plate Basin. And this is reflected in the dynamics of the meeting. In even years, the "Encuentro de Geohistória Regional" is held at the Institute's headquarters in Resistencia, and in odd years moves to all the great "region."
